Dr. She-Jun Chen is a Professor of environmental chemistry in the Environmental Research Institute at South China Normal University (SERI). He received his BSc from Shenyang Agricultural University and PhD (Environmental Science) from graduate school of the Chinese Academy of Sciences. Prior to joining SCNU in 2018, Dr. Chen worked in the Guangzhou Institute of Geochemistry of the CAS. His laboratory’s research focuses on understanding the fate, chemistry and transport of toxic organic compounds (especially in the atmosphere), human exposure to these pollutants, as well as chemical toxicology of particulate matter. He received Excellent Young Scholars Award from the National Natural Science Foundation of China in 2014. His research has been published 102 SCI papers in journals including Environ. Sci. Technol., Environ. Intern., and Environ. Pollut., with a citation of > 4500 and h-index 40.
